So as you can see, industrial scales are often made of a variety of materials. The material you choose will likely be effected by what environment you will be using the scale and what price point you want to spend on purchasing the weighing scale system. If you’re looking to control costs, an ABS plastic scale system can be the most cost effective. On the opposite end of the line would be washdown stainless steel weighing scales.
